Corsham Field Farmhouse Coronavirus Statement. Have Confidence in us.

We look forward to welcoming guests again and assure you that we will take good care of you as we all return to leisure activities and travel.  We expect all guests to be fully vaccinated.

We have completed our Coronavirus Risk Assessment in accordance with Government and Tourist Industry guidelines. We will be monitoring all rules and recommendations and acting in accordance with these as changes occur.

Robert and I want to reassure you that your safety is of paramount importance to us. As a family owned and run B&B we employ no staff, doing all the work ourselves. Because of this you can be confident that all hygiene measures will be strictly adhered to. We are the only two people working here at Corsham Field Farmhouse which has the additional benefit of keeping contact numbers low. Only guests booked in with us will be entering the house. Guest numbers will also be lower than usual.

Our home is in a rural location with no adjoining properties and only four homes within half a mile radius. We have a large garden with tables and chairs where guests can relax or enjoy a picnic whilst maintaining a safe distance. We have our own off road carpark so that guests’ cars are safe and within a few strides of the house.

We will be maintaining social distancing rules in our own activity away from the house and will also be restricting our own contacts to close family.

Breakfast will be served at individual tables as before. We have enough space for  tables to be at least 1.5 metres apart. We will personally serve all items to you at the table rather than present items buffet style for you to help yourselves. In this way all containers, preserves etc will only be handled by us and the dining room traffic will be minimised. Let us do the work! Guests will use the same table for the duration of their stay.

Gloves are worn to serve breakfast. Our Food Safety Qualifications ensure that we are familiar with all the best practices. After breakfast the lounge / dining room surfaces will be cleaned and sanitised.

We will continue the extra cleaning and sanitisation of our guest rooms and public areas that we introduced in March to ensure that we are all kept safe and well; this includes sanitising touch areas at least once daily. Guests all have their own bathroom.

Acting responsibly is the duty of all of us and not just the service providers so guests are also asked to be vigilant regarding hygiene both within their own room and in public areas by observing the rules to which we have all become accustomed during recent weeks. Hand sanitiser is to be used by guests on entering the main house. Each room will have a printed guide for guests to follow. We do expect guests to protect us and others throughout their stay.

You must be fit and well to travel to other areas, stay in accommodation or partake in activity outside your home. You also should have been free from contact with others who have shown symptoms for at least two weeks before staying with us. If you have any doubts regarding your health or that of your recent contacts your booking and deposit can be transferred to alternative dates. We keep all contact details of our guests.

The Cotswolds is an area of open spaces so it is perfectly possible to take walks or cycle rides without coming into direct contact with others. During this quiet time we have been increasing our knowledge of the local area and taking walks. There are many walks without styles or gates to be opened we have noticed that fields without livestock are often left open). Any other walkers have always been at least 5 metres away, so all completely safe.

Although this sounds very serious, please be confident that we will offer you a warm and friendly welcome whilst keeping you safe, comfortable and relaxed. If you have any specific questions or concerns then please do contact us by email farmhouse@corshamfield.co.uk or telephone: 01451 831750
