Places to Visit and Things to Do
The Cotswold area provides visitors with plentiful opportunities for sightseeing and activities. Your visit can be relaxing or adventurous with a vast variety of excursions to entertain. All the wonderful places introduced here are only a short drive from us; all are within 25 miles with many being less than 10 miles from Corsham Field Farmhouse. In addition to the attractions listed below we have galleries, museums, theatres and lots of shopping opportunities for antiques and country clothing.
HOUSES, CASTLES & GARDENS
The natural countryside of the Cotswolds provides a magnificent setting for some of our finest Stately Homes and Gardens. Here is just a sample of the many beautiful houses and gardens in the area. Remember to check opening times.
Blenheim Palace
Fantastic Stately home and birthplace of Churchill. Marlborough Maze and butterfly house. Regular events include Horse Trials, Countryfile Live, music and many more – 16 miles
Sezincote House
Indian style House and Garden set in 4500 acres. Sezincote remains a traditional Estate run by the family. The design provided inspiration for Brighton Pavilion – 7 Miles
Warwick Castle
Finest Medieval castle in England. The Great Hall and Staterooms; fantastic interiors in addition to the towers and ramparts. Daily Events including jousting and trebuchet firing – 25 miles
Shakespeare Houses and Stratford upon Avon
Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s Farm, Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre and river boat trips to relax after a hard day’s sightseeing – 18 miles
The National Trust
We also have many National Trust houses and gardens including Hidcote Manor Gardens, Snowshill Manor and Chastleton House all of which are within 15 miles

In addition to the wide open spaces of The Cotswolds there are many attractions which celebrate wildlife and nature.
Cotswold Farm Park
Adam’s Farm as featured on BBC’s Countryfile. Daily demonstrations, lambing live in spring and farm safaris. Conservation through biodiversity and breeding programmes. The Original Rare Breeds Farm – 12 miles
Batsford Arboretum
Home to the country’s largest private collection of trees and shrubs. Every season has its own special beauty here. The Garden Centre sells many of the species in the park – 6 miles
Cotswold Falconry
Sixty different species. Several different flying displays daily. Experience days and Falconry Courses available. (Next to Arboretum) – 6 miles
Cotswold Wildlife Park
Set in over 160 acres of beautiful parklands the Park has an amazingly diverse collection of species many of which are endangered in the wild – 8 miles
WALKING & CYCLING IN THE COTSWOLDS
The Cotswolds offers miles of beautiful countryside through rolling hills and villages with golden stone cottages. There are abundant walks through clearly marked footpaths, including circular walks and shorter distances.
