The Daylesford Christmas Fair supports WellChild, the charity that supports children with serious health issues by providing support and enabling them to live at home rather than in hospital. Last year the Fair raised £80’000 for the charity. This is the Event to find perfect gifts or even a special treat for oneself. The 200 stalls abound with quality designed goods from the UK’s best designers. Meet the designers themselves and buy directly from the creative source.
We still have rooms available in our B&B for the fair dates and we are only two and a half miles away.
We have visited the fair for the last few years and the memory that stays with me always is the sumptuousness of the materials and the wonderful creativity. There are beautiful items for the home including artwork and gorgeous textiles. The leather items are exquisitely made and the fabrics are fantastic quality which, when coupled with such creativity generates striking pieces. I have always managed to find gifts at lower prices too when I am looking for a small thank you gift. Jewellery, dreamy fragrances – ah, my Christmas list goes on.
The fair also features an Art Gallery, free workshops and demonstrations, beauty products and lovely things for children including toys. Book signings will take place and I believe Prue Leith will make an appearance with her first cookbook in 25 years – simply called Prue.
Refreshments will be available throughout the fair including lunch in the pop-up Creed Restaurant.
